The 2020 Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon

The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon won’t be taking place in its usual form in 2020 as we’re unable to hold the races in central London this year.

However, the good news is that – for one year only – we’re offering children up and down the country the chance to participate in the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon at their schools.

The challenge is for children to run, jog, walk or push 2.6 miles between Monday 28 September and Friday 9 October. To celebrate their achievements, all participants will receive an official Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon medal and certificate – all free of charge.

For further information, visit our 2020 Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon page.

Please note: The information below will be updated before the 2021 event.

The start and finish areas at the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon are NOT accessible to spectators under any conditions, but family and friends are welcome and will be able to get a great view of the races from anywhere along the Embankment or Birdcage Walk.

Remember, spectators will have a much better chance of seeing the runner they are cheering on among all the other competitors when they are spread out along the course!

Note to parents and carers

All athletes will be under the supervision of their Team Manager on Race Day. It is advised the Team Manager has their contact details in case of emergency.

Parents and carers will not be allowed to access the start area at Old Billingsgate or the finish area for security reasons. It is important, therefore, that you know of the arrangements the team manager has put in place for drop-off and collection of the team travelling to and from the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon event.

If in doubt, please contact the Team Manager before the event.
