All fields with an asterisk on the entry form below, is information required by the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon organisers to process your entry.

Entry Criteria

To enter the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon you must fall into one of the age categories below:-   

Boys and Girls – Under 14

  • Must be at least 11 years old on Event day
  • Born between 1 September 2005 and 26 April 2009

Boys and Girls – Under 17

  • Must be under 18 on Event day
  • Born between 1 September 2002 and 31 August 2005

Participants must also:

  • Be able to self-propel themselves over three miles within the time limit of 45 minutes.
  • Wear a helmet and gloves
  • Use a standard, sports or racing chair
  • Be born, reside, or go to school in the UK.

2020 Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon Terms and Conditions

In signing this I, on behalf of myself and the athlete:-

1. Declare that all will abide by the Laws and Rules for competition of the IAAF, British Athletics, England Athletics and the World Para Athletics, that the athlete will complete on foot and will not use any wheeled device (other than a self-propelled wheelchair if in the wheelchair section of the Event) and that my entry is subject to the General Conditions of Entry which can be found here.
2. We will abide by the rules of competition of the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon and the rules of UK Athletics including in particular, but without limitation:
2.1 All competitors shall be aged 11 years or over and under the age of 18 years on the day of the Event.
2.2 If an athlete is coming with an adult who is not their parent/Guardian, the adult must have completed DBS checks or signed the appropriate UK Athletics declaration; and must be able to supply evidence on request.
2.3 We will adhere to the reasonable instructions of the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon, its staff and marshals and the staff of any venue used in connection with the Event.
3. Entries into the 2020 Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon are personal to the applicant. They cannot be sold or transferred. Any sold or transferred entry will be void.
4. All entrants who gain a place into the Event must go to collect their race pack and timing device as directed.
5. Liability - To the extent permitted by law, neither London Marathon Events Limited (LMEL) nor its sponsors or suppliers will be liable for any loss, harm, damage, illness or injury however so caused (directly or indirectly), arising out of or in connection with or, suffered during or as a result of, participation in the Event, provided always that nothing shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused directly by the negligence of the organiser or its employees.
6. Collection and Use of Information – Athlete and my personal information (including medical information entered on my race number or collected by event medical staff during or after the Event) can be stored, used and disclosed by LMEL in connection with the organisation and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information.
7. We agree that LMEL may publish each athlete’s personal information as part of the results of the Event and may pass such information onto the governing body (national or international) or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, permits or for publishing results either for the Event alone or combined with or compared to other Events. Personal Information here may include (but not be limited to) name, race times, disability category and age category.
8. In relation to medical matters agree:-
8.1 that I or the athlete’s personal information (including medical information entered on the race number or collected by event medical staff during or after the Event) can be stored, used and disclosed by LMEL in connection with the organisation and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information. If the athlete becomes ill during or after the Event and/or receive medical attention or treatment either from Event medical staff, St John Ambulance or any doctor or hospital, I authorise such persons to provide details (including details of medical treatment) to the Medical Director of the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon or others authorised by her/him.
8.2 that the athlete consent to medical assistance and/or medical care being given to the athlete in the case of illness, injury or an emergency situation, should this occur during the Event, such assistance to be given by the organiser, its employees, contractors or other trained personnel conducting the Event (which may include the use of anaesthetics).
9. I and the athlete understand and consent to the fact that during the event, various filming, photography and broadcasting takes place. I and the athletes consent to photographs, filming and sound recording of themselves and grant their permission, free of charge, to the LMEL, its licensees and those authorised by it, to use such photographs, films and recordings (including any copies) and for their image, likeness and voice to be included in pictures and/or on film and/or audio broadcasts or transmissions (including the publication on the internet and in social media) and their exploitation and advertising without compensation or credit such use shall last in perpetuity.
10. Each parent/Guardian is responsible for their athlete's welfare on the day of the Event, the transportation of athletes to the Event, during the Event and the collection and repatriation of minors to their parents/Guardians.
